| The Dianne Lang Foundation Children’s Home
Dianne Lang would welcome you with open arms. Please give us your
dates of arrival and departure so that we do not overlap with our
accommodation.
Currently Dianne Lang has 46 children, sometimes she has up to 58 children depending on circumstances in the community.
But
basically Dianne homes 41 orphans on a permanent basis, these children
have been abused, abandoned and neglected. Finding new homes for these
children is difficult, I find Dianne's passion to assist these children
incredible! Her passion has led her to write the book: If you are interested in buying her book to add to your collection

The Dianne Lang Foundation Children’s Home is a
non-profit organization caring for 50 abandoned, neglected, abused and
orphaned children in Middelburg, in th Eastern Cape. These children
have been found on rubbish dumps, in child-headed homes and on the
streets of the townships. Middelburg has one of the highest
unemployment and HIV rates in the Eastern Cape and the poverty
increases alcohol and child abuse. These children are vulnerable to the community which
often views them as a nuisance of at worst, easy sex objects, rendering
defenseless against HIV. According to the National Council of Child
Welfare, 26 000 children are known to be abused in South Africa each
month.
Too many children are living in child-headed homes
throughout our country with NO assistance or protection from adults
except for some Care organizations trying to care for these children in
the communities. We are already on a runaway train with the situation
of our children. We must do something to stop it.
Dianne Lang foundation would appreciate funding and is desperately in need of volunteers to help them help these children.
